Tutoring
Beginning Fall of 2009, Davis High opened the Academic Center as an on-campus resource for all students to gain academic support. The center offers FREE tutoring in every subject. The range of students enjoying this support runs the gamut from World History to AP Chemistry, from Spanish 1 to Comp/Lit AP, and beyond.
Academic Center tutors are UC Davis students with majors in everything from English to Engineering. All Davis High students are welcomed to stop by for help. Tutors can assist with projects, essays, and test prep. Tutors also help with college applications, personal statements, the FAFSA, and scholarships.
The center is open for tutoring from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, although drop-in tutoring services are offered after school. Students are placed at tables according to the particular subject matter they're seeking help with.
